Welcome to another Friday update for the Streetscape Project. Had another productive week with the following highlights: · Completed the concrete for the light pole foundations and tree wells. · Resolved a couple of water service issues · Prepped the trench with limestone rock between the new gutter and existing roadway for asphalt next week · Delivered the pallets of brick pavers and staged them for installation work to begin next week · Continued to sweep and clean the area. The look ahead for next week: · Delivering sand for the brick pavers on Monday morning (timing dependent on trucking company) · Paver crew is likely to begin on Tuesday placing the sand and beginning to set the brick pavers · Installation of the asphalt along the new concrete gutter towards the end of the week · Finishing up any remaining concrete work (other than the two large areas) We are getting close to having the crews move to the 400 block to begin demolition. I will be preparing a detour map for when that happens so all business and property owners will be able to post the information to their respective social medias and we will post the same plan to our City-wide social media. As always these schedules are subject to change and delays due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The last few weeks have shown significant progress and I am hopeful that will continue. As always if there are any questions or concerns please send me an email and I will address them as quickly as I can. Thank you. Eric G.
